so I am new to this forum, and I am pretty good with a wrench, built several imports :-( back in the day... and also working on a restoration of a 66 dodge dart.. but here is my question. I have a 96 Ram 1500 SLT 5.9L I am having brake issues.. system bled, new front rotors, calipers and pads. It does stop, but it feels like if I was doing 50+ and had to actually stop hard, I don't think it will.. Anyone have any thoughts? I have heard that the ram's don't have great brakes anyway, but is there something I should look for or is there an upgrade kit you recommend? I do tow quite a bit, I have a 26' flatbed that I haul cars with and I want to make sure I don't have any issues. I would like to retire my 03 expedition from towing. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome aboard!!! Well for towing a brake controller will help and electric brakes on the trailer. But I'm sure you already knew that one lol
IF you have bled the brakes my next thought would be is the pedal super spngy?? It almost sounds like the booster is going out. I will agree the brakes aren't the best but they should stop you pretty quick. I'd be looking at the feed line for the vacuum that goes to the booster.
