2012 Ram 1500 with only 3k. Brakes are making a REALLY LOUD squeal when I press the brakes lightly, but not when they are hit hard. Haven't contacted the dealer yet. This is so loud and really embarrassing. Anyone else have this problem? Tried braking really hard several times in a row, and that helped a tiny bit but only for a day or so. Don't think a brand new vehicle should do this.

Take it to the dealer. I have 7k on this one and I had 19k on my other '12 and the brakes never made a sound.

Take it back, 5kmi and my brakes are silent and smooth unless wet. When theyre wet theyre loud for first 15 miles and thats it

I'm with everyone else...go to dealer and have them check it out, stuff should be covered under warranty.

My truck, if the brakes are wet, will make a horrible rubbing sound if I hold them lightly, to the point where the truck is moving but they're applied, if I'm at virtually no speed. Only happens at times like car washes and rain.

Last year we had the dealer replace all the rotors/pads on our Caravan at 50,000km and the next day there was a noise similar to what you're describing. They had to replace the brand new parts on one corner under warranty.
Mopar brake parts are C-R-A-P. As soon as mine wear out it will be ANYTHING except stock, to replace them. Literally, ANYTHING would be an improvement.

^^^yep, I'm going to go with hawk or ssbc here soon. Going on 31k and my front driverside has had a squeak for a long time now so as soon as I'm ready to spend the money, I'm upgrading.

Thanks everyone. My biggest problem is I'm 3 hrs. away from the nearest dealer, and 4 1/2 hrs. away from where I bought it. But will at least call and talk with them. Thought maybe someone else has had the same problem and figured out how to correct it. Thanks again.
