Brand new 2026 Ram Rebel 2500

The truck was just delivered. The truck was turned off and I left about an hour later in my old truck to run errands and go to my sons hockey game. 2 hours after delivery, my neighbors called me that my truck lights were flashing in the driveway The rear tail light (reverse?) a white fast flashing light and one of the front parking lights was also stuck on. No light were on when I left the house. I opened the door of the truck; the running boards wouldn’t deploy, no power or lights inside, dash and screens wouldn’t light up, so I charged the battery and was finally able to start the truck. However, the brake and check engine lights were still on the dash screen. The rear tail light stopped flashing, but I’m very concerned on what may have caused this issue, along with the front parking lights to be stuck on, a brake and a check engine light stuck on now on a truck that I
haven’t even drove yet. Any insight would be great, especially on the check engine light now.

I would tell the dealer to come get it.

I have to agree... there is an electrical problem already and if your battery drained?? you need to not get stuck with it

The new Rams have a much higher than industry average amount of electrical issues. They switched to a new electrical architecture and are having both software and hardware issues. Harnesses are tugging at connectors, causing intermittent issues. Software bugs are causing interesting "occurrences" that are hard to trace.

It's very unlikely it is anything you can diagnose and fix yourself. Unfortunately, it's a coin flip if your dealership can either, or will return it as problem not replicated. There are 2025 Rams sitting at service centers for months waiting for someone from "the mothership" to figure out the problem after the local and regional technicians can't.

So, get a jump pack to keep in the truck and good luck.

Don't touch it,or charge the battery or boost it,phone the dealer to come get it,it's their problem not yours

While I don't drive my '17 Ram Big Horn alot (6400 mi.) the battery drains quickly. I had run the truck 2 days before and when I went to start it 2 days later the dash lights, dome lights, and engine didn't even turn over. I checked the battery and it was 6 volts. The battery was only 2 years old. Cheapass Mopar battery, went out and bought a top of the line NAPA battery.
