So I bought my 2017 in June and have been driving just over 5,000 miles including about 1,000 towing my TT. The other day I was going to take the tires off my trailer for the winter and figured I would use the truck jack.
Well I found out that I've been driving for 4 months without a working jack.
I never thought to check and make sure it worked. It looks like someone used it on something WAY too heavy because the base is bent and it sounds like the screw mechanism is stripped.
I'm such a dumb-ass but am thankful I found out at home.

I had one break and local dealer replaced it under warranty. No questions asked.

These jacks are so cheap I am afraid to use it. Miss my bumper jacks.

Will the stock jack work with 35” tires and a 6” lift?

I purchased a 6-ton bottle jack and solid rubber wheel chock when I got my truck new. They both fit perfect in the storage under the seat.

I just did the same thing and it fits in the same spot as the factory jack.

WHENEVER I travel, I carry a 3 ton dual Bottle/Support Jack. IF U have never had the "pleasure" of using a wind up jack, and U ever do, U will understand why PPL carry other good Bottle/floor jacks in their vehicles. Especially if U have a lifted truck.

Ask any Military Person that had no Motor Pool support and had to use scissors jack to jack up a Hummer/Jeep, LOL...

I also have a 5 Ton bottle jack in the truck when towing. The stock jack does okay to pick just the truck up, wouldn't want to try with a trailer attached. Separating the truck and trailer might not be an option, the bottle jack should be able to lift both.

You should get a 6 ton bottle jack and some 3/4" plywood to put under it.

I have 2 for my travel trailer for when I rotate the tires and lube the axles.
