I got a 2014 ram 2500 and i’m super confused. any help is appreciated.

Ever since i bought it when i open the door or pretty much as soon as the truck gets a key on power. Somewhere under the dash sounds like something is running back and fourth/creekin. I thought it was the blend doors but i have no idea it’s a wild ass sound. But once i get on the road and driving it goes away. Just wait there’s more.

few days ago my break lights were staying on no matter what so i changed the break light sensor/switch and recalibrated it and it worked. figured it was fine started it next morning drove it and they were staying on again. recalibrated it and it held until i turn the truck off and on but this time when i did it i got random ass interior codes along with the dash cluster dimming and getting brighter at random times and the overhead lights barley turning on. So i swapped the dimmer switch and i swapped the battery’s. no difference. i took a picture of the codes and talked to a buddy he said to scan it again and it came back with more codes than the first time.

Few other things i found like instead of the passanger hot wire having the normal battery end it was jumped with a smaller gauge cable. i’ll drop a pic, all the grounds are tight. i’ll leave some pictures of that. Oh and i found the blend door actuator unplugged…. So idk about the sound in the dash. Biggest problem is all of the codes..

Check the harness(s) to see if any critters were using the wiring for lunch. Also check all the connections closely for tightness, pushed in pins and corrosion. Double check the grounds (all of them under hood and dash) for cleanliness and tightness.

Check the battery with a toaster style load tester.

These are the most common causes of gremlins. Impossible to pinpoint over the internet.

Sounds like corrosion may have found a few places to take hold.
I would start inspecting harness connections looking for corrosion on any pins, and be certain no pins have been pushed back into the connector.
