Hi all I’m sure this is a beaten horse, but I wanted to know the most up to date thoughts people have on the subject.

My question is,

Is the chrome AVS aeroskin bug guard a good idea? I’m not too worried about debris under the thing seeing that I wash my truck weekly and if any thing were to happen to it I would just replace it. If any one could tell me their thoughts/ experiences with this product it would be a big help. I live in W.V. and I can already see some road rash forming.

Or am I just better off with the more classic styled bug guard that sits slightly above the lip of the hood and bolts on underneath.

Here's what I've got going on. It looked real stupid before I painted the chrome grille, now it kind of blends in and definitely looks better. Not for everyone, I was looking for function over form here. I had the hood repainted when I bought the truck. As soon as I got it back the hood protector went on.

i have the avs arrowskin or whatever it is called stick on, love the low profile, great protection. No slop, great clean look, hugs the lines of the hood.
