Build Times?

So, I just ordered a 22 Longhorn Limited 3500 Dually LB. She’s loaded with just about every option. How long do you actually think the build time will be? I’m being told 3-4 months but I expect more like 5-6! Just hoping to have by mid-June which is around the timeframe I’m hoping our newly ordered 5th-Wheel will get built. Ordered a new 22 Riverstone Legacy 391FSK.

OUCH. I hopes it’s sooner than that. It’s got the HO 6.7 & it’s a Dually too so I’m hoping they are still building these HD’s during the summer?

They are, we just delivered a limited in granite crystal with the night package and HO/Aisin combo. Don't know how long ago it was ordered. Sold orders get priority over stock units.

You may not know if it will take 2 1/2 or 4 months to be built
But once it is on the freight train in Saltillo Mexico, the train goes into Local Mode, it stops at several places before it gets to the US Border at Eagle Pass Mexico.
Then it speeds up & goes to Chicago, then i think CSX RR hooks up to your freight car & pulls it to somewhere near Boston, where it is unloaded & a car hauler takes it to your dealership

I'm kinda in the same boat. I ordered Feb 5 2022. Pretty much the same truck. I was emailed the vin# Feb 17. My salesman was pretty honest up front. He said not to hold my breath, it could be 4 months to 6 months. I see as, I've been without a diesel my whole life. What's 6 more months.

That paper is called a Priced Order Confirmation

Your Ram 3500 will be built in Saltillo Mexico

Your current Status is BA = Pending Order

Likely by Monday it will change to Status C & possibly ever D

Status C = Order Confirmed
Status D = means that they are checking their inventory for all the parts to build your Ram

Thank you for the info. Wish I would've come across this forum before i ordered. There's a lot of helpful tips here. But in my mind I'm thinking 8 to 10 months or longer. So I'll get my new 2022 ram when the 2023 comes out.

Normally before this Covid crisis,
Chrysler has considered a Production year as July 1 through June 30th
With the first new vehicles being at Auto Shows in mid September

They don't always make those dates, but they attempt to come as close as possible
