Hey guys,

So I'm thinking about dropping a couple bucks and picking myself up a bull bar to mount on my truck. Shopping around I came across this on ebay:

Combo 94 01 Dodge RAM 1500 Bull Bar Black Westin Light | eBay

Anyone have any experience with buying a bull bar like this off Ebay? Called their CS and it was an Asian lady that could hardly speak English. Also curious if it might just be a POS to begin with. Other question is why it says that it wouldn't fit the Sport or Laramie models? My hunch was that maybe because it mounts where tow hooks would mount and they assume that they're stock?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks dudes.

Doesn't look bad. But you might run into bracketry issues as I know some of the eBay stuff has had that problem.

As far as Sport and Laramie, they're making blanket statements. It won't fit 99+ Sports without "adjustments" (read, cutting the plastic) to the bumper cover. Laramie is the same as an ST or SLT.....and SLT and Laramie are literally the same model.

I thought about getting one but after reading all the horror stories about frame damage from minor accidents I passed on them.

That bull bar is painted carbon steel. Once that coating comes off expect rust especially in your area. Reason why it won't fit the Sport model is because of the different bumper, Laramie doesn't change anything.

I knew the SLT wasn't any different so that's why I thought it was funny. It's really between a DeeZee brush guard or this guy. I'm assuming that this would bolt on no hassle opposed to the bull bar where I'd have to unbolt the front bumper supports for the bull bar? I'm leaning towards the bull bar just because of that, I'd save myself about $50 and the fact that my lights are kind of junk and I'm still waiting for a buddy to give me a new pair off one of his parts trucks.

I'm not too worried about it getting rusty either just because I'll end up having to clean up the rest of the truck again eventually anyways. haha.
