So, my enclosed utility trailer and my rear bumper had a disagreement this weekend.......and the trailer won.
Probably not going the insurance route since my deductible is $1000......
Stopped by one autobody shop near by and was quoted $1000 for a new oem bumper ( $450 ) and about $600 for paint and labor. Seems a bit high to me.
The dent really isnt too bad, the gashes in the paint really are the nasty part of the whole thing.
I haven't dealt with an autobody shop for a accident in over 20 years but the guy said nobody will bang it out anymore and it will just be replaced and painted and installed...... Seems rediculous to me. I figured maybe bang it out, refinish and paint for maybe $500..... am i way off here?
Any thoughts on a cheaper way to get this done?
