Bought my truck w/o one as well took a while to find one that wasn't $80, I think it can look good either way with a lifted truck but lowered or stock height look weird imo

It is an air dam, and yes it does help with mileage, but probably not enough to notice as we drive massive bricks.

I think the factory bumpers look like they are missing something without htem there.

Oh no doubt that it doesnt make much difference. It helps more on the 1500s and the 2wds but any 2500s+ or anything lifted its effectively useless. I think the ford superdutys have one thats damn near 6"s tall! Talk about destroying ground clearance and approach angle

I like with, unfortunately the AZ mountain trails deemed it was not needed and ripped it off...curse you approach angles!

Mine is missing, the previous owner obviously ripped it off because all of the mounting hardware is still attached. The bumper on mine is dented up on the bottom as well. When I replace the bumper, it is going back on as well.
