does it really make a diff using a CAI vs a stock air box with a MIT tube when running long tube headers?? I feel like a get a ton of noise at times but no go with the K&N... I've read mixed reviews about this before but is there more to it other than personal preference? I feel like the stock air box is more of a "cold air intake" than the K&N. Also i would not be using the "HEMI hat" with the stock box. Ant input on this will help me please.

The MIT is ok as long as you fab up another cold air scoop to bring fresh air to the airbox. Ideally, I would much rather be running a Vararam or S&B, but the MIT along with an extra air scoop coming off the bottom of the stock airbox will work as well.
