right now I'm running the zone 6in lift with the 5"rear coil spring in the rear. Im getting my bils put on this friday. Wanted to go with a level look. But I'm starting to like the look of the cali lean. I think that's what it's called. Where the nose sits higher with the rear with a little sag. What all could i do to obtain the look and cause stress and my ball joints in the front. Im about to order some 20x 14 american forces so I think the setup will look sick if I could figure out how to obtain the look.

All you need to pull off that look is white framed Oakley's and a flat billed hat yo!

Just because I have a white truck with my crews sticker on the back doesn't mean I wear Oakley's . I prefer Spy's and a beanie haha.

On a serious not i'm not against the look but you then have an issue where if you load up the bed of the truck and it squats you'll run into issues.

I have seen that before. Didn't know it was on purpose. Always assume something is worn out and sagging

That's likely where it started.. Lowriders used to just take an acatelyne torch to leaf springs, heat 'em up until they sagged where they wanted.. cool them down with a hose and instant low rider. If you have a truck with leafs in the rear and torsion/coil in front that doesn't work.. so you just do that to the rear and leave the front..

I'm not saying that's the origin... but I wouldn't be surprised ;-)

Buy a 3 inch rear coil you can't tell much under 1.5 inches of lean. I had 2 inches whole waiting for my lift parts if you wanna see what it looked like I can send you the oic

I agree with the others. A rear squat looks like a kids truck.

I was in LA back in January and the first couple I saw I thought the same thing. Then 5 million stupid looking trucks later I realized it was on purpose.

To the OP, the look they're going for is a long-arm prerunner look. If you want that, put $15000 worth of Fox shocks, suspension and widebody panels and build a prerunner. Otherwise the cali lean is a polite way to say poser, and that's not cool at all.

As for the Oakley, I've got that on lock down. Haha

^ Best explanation for a goofy look I've ever read ... And here I thought 5 million truck owners in Cali had the same stupid thought in a short period of time

coming from Cali and from the desert racing and prerunner background i can tell you why it started.

when fiberglass fenders started being the norm in off road racing truck sat level. however the rise in the front fender to rear was not even. making off road trucks look ass low.

then people spent money on front ends and glass and leaving the rear stock. 10k in parts and glass didn't leave much for the rear.

i like a little lean in the back make the tire fill the fender wells even but that me. also made loading a dirt bike in the rear a lot easier.

trucks that sit ass high look so odd to me. why make the bed harder to get into

On a truck that's lifted 6" in the front 1" of rear sag is hardly going to solve your cargo handling woes. Its dumb on dumb If you ask me. Unless of course you're legitimately blitzing desert chop at 100mph+ with 17" of front suspension travel, then lean on. Haha
