Caliper Bracket Sandblasting

Needed to replace my caliper bracket on a '13 2500, got a remanufactured from RockAuto, $47, seemed pricey even from them, has anybody had luck sandblasting them and reinstalling?

Sandblast every caliper bracket on every car I do brakes on, slide and mating surfaces. Standard proceedure especially here in the salt belt.

If it’s just the bracket I see no harm in blasting it. All you have is a piece of steel with four holes in it. Two for the slide pins and two for the mounting bolts. Just cover the slide pin holes while blasting it and should be good.
