Cam swap

I've looked through pages upon pages and used the search function, but I haven't been any info about any cam swaps. I've read that the drivetrain is close to maxed out with just a few bolt ons, is that the reason it's not common? I'm just curious because i just traded in my srt8 for my ram and it's pretty common with the lx platform. Obviously with money damn near anything is possible But I'm just curious...plus I need to work up to 50 comments so I can post in the wanted section, since I mostly just read all the info here

The drivetrain will handle a moderate cam just fine, just drive the truck properly and you won't have any issues with the trans but if you're stupid about it you'll roast the clutches. Cams still aren't a common swap on the VVT engine just because of how difficult it is to tune the VVT with a cam unless you completely lock out the VVT with a phase locker, plus the cost on a VVT is astronomical compared to the pre-Eagle engine which puts a lot of people off of the swap.

Ahhh gotcha. I can't afford to do it at the moment regardless but I was kinda curious and that makes perfect sense.
