Can I install struts/shocks 2” taller in my 4” lift to eliminate the rake?

I drive a 2014 ram 1500 4x4 hemi
I beleive I have a Pro comp 4” lift installed on my truck and I hate the 1 inch rake it has in the front, I want to level it out and alittle bit more if possible.
It has oem size struts/shocks with a 4” strut spacer.
Would a 6” lifted strut raise my truck at all and will it be reliable safe to drive?

@BlueDemon there you go that’s a much better informative post.

The rear spacer measures 4 1/2” right?

If it’s a 4” strut spacer you could install leveling struts or adjustable coilovers in conjunction and set them to the height you want instead of completely replacing the front unless that’s what you want to do.
Edit: also. The wheel well is not a good measuring point on these trucks. Your best bet would actually be to measure the body. Either to the bottom of the rocker or frame height. The wheel wells don’t sit even front and rear. I’m pretty sure they’re off somewhere around 1/2” to 1” but not 100% sure

@BlueDemon if you do a coilover you will be able to adjust the front height and have the ability to dial in your height.
There are full coil over options that would delete the strut top spacer or there is replacement (leveling) coilovers. It comes down to your budget and how much you are looking to spend. A less expensive option is using a Bilstein strut that would allow you to set the front +1” you will need upper control arms for either option. We have Forum preferred vendors that know their stuff and take a lot of guess work out of finding the right parts. His kits looking a lot like a 6” kit what do you think?
@BlueDemon what size tires are you running?

Hard to tell but that does look like it could be a 6" kit. An adjustable front strut would be a lower cost option. A full length coil over would be a better option for added road comfort and off road performance.

Message me if you would like a quote on anything. We can get you set up with a great option that will fit your needs and your budget.

Can I determine the size of the lift by the size of the strut spacer or no?

How big is the rear spacer? The tires are 35s on 20s. I’d say 6” lift. What’s the front strut spacer?

The front strut spacers actually measures 4 1/2 just like the back one

Can you get a better picture of the actual strut. More so the label on the strut and the bottom spring mount on the strut

100% I know the rear Procomp spacer is 4.5” on a 6” lift.

Procomp uses pre load spacers as well and I don’t see one at the top.

Pre load spacers where?
This is from the instructions and it may have been on the old struts before you changed to the preloaded(assembled) struts. And that’s where you long your inch F01DCE4F-DE97-469C-9636-C32524171CEE.png

These are the old ones and they dont look like they had them. And actually just before I replace the shocks it was already 1” lower in the front. But last october when I got the truck it was actually level with the back, thats the crasiest part, somehow it lowered in a couple months

Technically you want the front down 3/4 to 1” because the hood sits up higher than the bed. So standing back and looking at the truck it looks level. But it’s your truck. The way to achieve level is have @Nick@GotExhaust get you a set of Bilsteins and zone upper control arms. Set your Bilsteins at the .7 that would put you where you want to be.
