Can you swap the 275/60/20 for 265/70/17?

2018 Big Horn with 20 inch wheels right now. Want to go to 17’s. This is basically just swapping stock size for stock size with no issues right? Thanks!

Ideally, you should tell the computer the new size so your speedo and everything is correct for the smaller tire.
Also, be prepared for it to handle a bit different - usually not as well in bends.
Ride will usually improve a little due to the taller tire sidewall - depending on tire selection.

Thanks! I just mean more that this is just an easy swap right since it’s the 2 stock sizes Ram uses for the Big Horn? Just make sure the bolt pattern is the same right?

There is a 1.39" difference in tire height if you do the math. You can swap anything really that will bolt up but it will be necessary to program the tire size or the speedometer and odometer will be incorrect. If you have a good relationship with your local dealer you may get them to change the tire size for you for free.

You could also go with 285/70/17 (.3" smaller) or 295/70/17 (.3" larger) than your current tire diameter. I think either of these changes would be small enough to not worry about changing the tire size on your truck.

If going up to those sized, I personally would only do it with an 8-9" wide wheel.

I didn't care for the handling using the stock 7" wide wheel with 285/70/17 tires.

Rebel wheels are 8" wide, most stock 17" wheels are 7" wide.

Stock Rebel is 17X8" with 285/70/17 tires which are almost identical in height to the stock 20"s.

Thanks guys! I found some 2016 Rebel take-offs in size 285/70/17 so I’m hoping to go with those actually. If not, back to the drawing board and starting from scratch.

Method,Raceline and others have 17” wheels that will fit your RAM with better width and offset if you wanted to run bigger tires without having to use wheel spacers.

I went with Raceline Clutch wheels myself in 17x9 with -12 offset. Much better price than factory Rebel wheels too. If you want to stick with Rebel wheels 285/70/17 or 285/75/17 will look a lot better than 265/70/17

These are the exact ones I found online! No problem putting them on a 2018 Big Horn right?? Great pic. Looks awesome!

Thanks

No problem putting the rebel wheels on a big horn. The tires are 285/70/17.
