Can't decide on a look

I just polished up my silver RAM today. Normally I like chrome accents because they just gleam. I could, without exaggerating literally shave off my wheels. But... I also love how cool black and silver looks too.

The first photo is my current ride, the second photo is a Tundra with silver paint with Line-X bumpers, grille, and black wheels I also love the rugged look of (couldn't find a RAM photo done the same). Decisions, decisions...

Not a fan of the Line-X bumpers on the truck. I have a Silver express RCSB and I like having color matched bumpers and my wheels are a custom matte grey metallic.

I'm not a big chrome fan.... that was a big part of my decision to go with the Outdoorsman trim. Lots of black where many are chrome. I do like the silver body though. That was my second choice after the charcoal crystal granite whatever it's called - basically dark gray.

Hi roadshow,
It depends on the overall look you want. Do you want classy or nasty? The chrome looks classy on your truck. But the black out will give it a nasty murder-like look. I like the nasty look on a white truck...as is obvious. But I think your truck would look good either way it all comes down to what kind of look do you want.

black is boring. I look at some trucks, and it's they got bored and said "**** it , paint everything black" Not a big fan of a lot of chrome either. Accent the wheels in some way, color wrap the bumpers and grille etc.

So heres the thing with these trucks. they look good with chrome bumpers, or they look good with color matched bumpers. If you paint your bumper black, and you have a silver truck its going to look like complete ****. You NEED to have color matched bumpers to replace the chrome accents with black. so that means your grille and wheels would need to be blacked out, and to make it pop you would need black quads as well. Honestly tho I am not a fan of black painted grills (no offence Rz) but if theres one color it dosnt look horrible on, its silver..

A base model Tradesman has black bumpers and they look cheap and thrown together. Also note that the outdoorsman is 2 tone, but they carry the bumper color around the side to make it look better.

If I were you I would look for some express bumpers or have yours painted silver.

I get that some people have a dislike for any chrome at all (I even saw one Reddit poster actually say plastidip was a more high end look lol). But I'm not one of them, I was just toying with an idea for something different in a 'look' but wasn't sure what.

This photo I found really struck a chord with me though. Turns out it's not a change of color I really felt drawn towards, it was a design change. To me, this looks totally badass and I'm going to start putting away money towards doing something similar


Until I change my mind again lol.

There's no rule against lifting a 1500 or putting a custom grille on one, guys. Yeah I get it, you like monotone paint, not sure what that has to do with anything that I said but here's a 1500 in white. Now change the RAM to metallic silver, smoke out the headlights and add the fender flares like the first pic and you get the general idea.
