I don’t mean to disparage, it’s all in good fun! When I ask for Military discount in shops etc ( jokingly) they ALWAYS say no funnily enough

HM ships Glamorgan, Blake, Bulwark. All gone for scrap now! They were old back then! Blake and Bulwark laid down end of war I think?

You're welcome! I think. I learned how to smoke and drink (a lot) and cuss.... also learned how to weld, how to work, how to budget... and some shipmates that have my back still to this day. I'm an engineer now, the Navy was a fantastic stepping off point. I miss it some days.
