Its loud enough if you punch it. I honestly think the R series might be to loud.

believe it or not my wife is probably more excited to mod this thing than I am. I think itll be fine but my wife wants it loud...I explained that we live in a residential neighborhood but she doesn't care. I guess she likes to see me fight my neighbors..lol

Magnaflow 18 vs Carven progressive are no comparison in regards to noise. The carven is much louder. So if you just got that Magnaflow and think its just loud enough then keep it. If not the Carven is for you.

Ya, after all kinds or research, videos and forums, i decided since im an old fart i would keep my 17 relatively civilized, 18" magnafow, unlike my younger years and loud 56 chevy, 56 340 plymouth fury,2- 66 chargers, 68, 69 mustangs, 70 monte carlo, etc, etc etc

Yep in that video above that's the progressive series Carven , the Competitor Series is deeper and a bit louder as well .

There is a reason why these are showing up for sale. There is not a lot of muffler with these carvens. I used to like loud as well but in a DD Truck where I can take long trips and have my kid and wife in the car the noise gets old. They will tell you there is no drone but that’s a lie as people hear drone differently and it varies Truck to Truck. Honestly anything this much smaller than stock is going to drone, no way around it. U need a larger case muffler to control drone and that leaves, stock, flowpro, dynomax and the 24” Magnaflow.

Its a nice muffler and the carven looks sharp and will be loud, it’s just for some folks and some it may be too much.
