Do your tips stick out uneven? I have the competitor and black tips and my passenger tip sticks out like half an inch further than my drivers...I'm thinking I may have to cut the alignment tabs off the factory pipes so I can shove one side in further...

It seems to have a little better response. Could be in my head. Mileage I can't say. Just put it on an hour ago and drove it around for a few minutes.

Yep! I have heard about this before I installed it too. I'm thinking that too, knock that little tab off. I did notice it took a bit of tightening to get the passenger side tail pipe to stiffen up. Thinking about running a small bead around the joints.

Thanks for the write-up/review. I’m looking at the carven progressive for my 2018 ram pretty hard but I’m a little hesitant as I don’t want something deafening loud. I’m certainly not afraid of noise but I don’t want something that’s muffler delete or super 10 loud like I had on my 2014. Anyone have any feedback on how the progressive compares to muffler delete or super 10 loudness wise?

I'm curious how that exhaust sounds when the MDS kicks in. Any noticeable drone or buzzing?

Any aftermarket muffler or exhaust is gonna sound like sh-t when MDS kicks in, that’s a given. Some more than others, but look at the size of the factory muffler. That’s why you really don’t hear it as much if at all. But there is nothing like a performance exhaust to wake these trucks up and make them sound like the Hemi’s that they are. I have a Carven Progressive and I love it. She crackles a little bit at a cold start on a very cold morning, but it settles in to a nice rumble as soon as she comes down off high idle. I think throttle response improved a bit, hard to tell with the Pedal Commander. Minimal drone. But when you get on it, man it sounds sweet. I’ve had two separate instances where guys with Rams have pulled up to me in traffic and asked what exhaust I’m running. I’m also running a set of 5” Mufflex tips.

Sorry, just saw this. Yes, MDS makes it sound goofy. I select 8th gear every time I put it in Drive. No big deal to me.

I just installed the Carven Progressive on my 2016 Hemi. Holy **** is it loud!! I can’t tell if it’s drone or just that loud? Someone mentioned mufflex J pipe to help cancel that resonance. I love the sound but the constant loudness is a bit overwhellming.

Also my passenger tip is about 1/2-3/4 shorter now than my driver side exhaust tip. Any thoughts?

I didn’t think it was THAT loud. With that said, my ‘03 has a 3” Magnaflow dumped so I was already used to the volume. I mean, my 19 rumbles on the highway but it isn’t terrible. As far as the tip goes, mine is the same way and I plan on knocking the little alignment tab off, I just haven’t done it yet.
