Catch can works great! Sure does its job. This is what was in there with about 1700 miles before checking. Speed varied. Alot of highway at 73mph , A bunch of around town and some showing off romping on it ! Id estimate about 3 ounces that never made it to my throttle body!

obviously the mileage changes when you go up hill, down hill, accellerating, coasting etc etc. if you look at my average, it was 20.3. that was on the highway trip with the cruise set at 73mph. trust me, my around town mileage isnt anything to brag about. :)

Yes. Moe's perfromance sells BT catch cans with a RAM specific mount.
Other palces sell Moroso with a generic mount and e-bays sells cut-rate 'stuff'.

Thanks for the info, this blows my mind that we need catch cans on non turbo engines. Also you guys seem to be very calm that you are catching that much oil in only 1700 miles? I have never used catch cans on my no turbo motors in the past. Now Im very worried about my 2013.

I have never used a Catch Can before in my life and I have had a lot of vehicles in my years.
I have probably had plenty of vehicles that passed crap from the PCV valve to the intake and I did not even know about it.

I am calm because the Catch Can is not absolutely needed from an engineering standpoint,
I doubt even 10% of the HEMI's I see driving around have one.

After seeing the results here, I got one to help keep the intake and throtle body cleaner.

I am happy with the results I am getting.
It is only catching stuff that would be burned off anyway.

Well I'm debating whether or not I should be ordering one of these????

its worth getting i actually saw a truck at the dealer that had some other kind of issues with the motor and was getting taken apart when they pulled off the intake i took a look inside and sure enough it was full of nasty looking oil and sludge

i have a billet one from moes theres different brands and some that are cheaper but i chose that one because it looks nice under the hood, easy to install, and real easy to empty but i know others have gotten some with a valve on the bottom and just mounted them up themselves somehow

Oh, what Brand should I be looking for?
I don't think the brand matters, as long as it works.
I think Billet Technology and Moroso are the two main brands.

I have the BT Can, because I like the way it looks and easy mounting with the Z bracket.

The Moroso has a drain valve built into the bottom.

Sorry, I have one more question about this whole catch can deal....Ok so I have not installed a catch can yet, but will as soon as I can get it, but having said that I now have 4000 miles on my truck so obviously there has likely been some oil that made it to my throttle body by now. Sooooo, do I need to clean my thottle body now when I install my catch can, or will it eventually clean itself out once the can is installed? Probably a dumb question, but I don't want to do extra work if it's not needed.
