Show us how you have it hooked up.

Yeah, I'd like to see where the other ends go. Have you opened it and taken a look inside it just going off the indicator on the side? My truck has a lot more miles on it but I get several ounces at every oil change.

Yeah, I'd like to see a pic of what's hooked up to what and what kind of hose you used.

No way a functional catch can wouldn't have any oil in it after a couple thousand miles. There is either a problem with your can, hoses, or where you have them hooked up.

Time to take it apart to inspect the inside of the can and confirm that the hoses are connected properly.

Use rubber fuel line hose. It is internally reinforced which will prevent the hose from collapsing under pressure/vacuum. And yes, you could get it at auto zone.

strange but true story I swear. When driving in the city my cc would catch the normal (if that's possible) amount of blow by??? On a 6500 mile trip I opened it to find it had zero product, back to city driving afterwards and it collected as usual. Beats me.

You either have it installed wrong, or there is something inside the can that is blocking airflow. It is not physically possible for that can to be bone dry after that many miles.
