Center Console USB Power Question

Just bought my new 2019 Limited 1500 truck today. According to the manual , the USB port in the center console that has a picture of a battery should charge when the car is off. It does not. I have tried several cables and several devices. All charge when the car is on, and stay charging for a few minutes once the car is off but eventually stop charging. I tried the other USB port in the back seat that has a picture of a battery and that charged any of the devices with any of the cables when the car is off or on. I need to leave a pair of wireless headphones in the center console and would like them to be continuously charging. From what I understand, this should be possible but it is not happening. Am I missing something or could it be something broken/wrong.

I can’t tell you for certain as I do not have that need in my 19 but in my 14, there was a fuse you had to change the location of. It was an option the end-user chose and you moved the fuse from one side of the 3 slots to the other side. Like I said, I am not certain but at the very least, it is something you can sink your teeth into and might help reveal what you’re looking for in your search.

It's not your devices or cables, OP. This is something that Dodge/Chrysler has been doing for years. My wife's old Caravan (2005) was that way and I think her '17 Charger is the same way. At least now you know it's not you!
It's supposed to be some kind of safety feature.

I have the BigHorn package with the 8.4 radio and on my usb ports under the climate controls, I have 2 ports but both only have the data transfer logo on it which means that you can use it to charge while the vehicle is on or use it for Apple play (data transfer).
