Anyone know if there will be any changes for the 2015 Ram? Going to order a new truck in the next 3 months or so and wondering if there would be any reason to wait a few extra months for a 2015 model...

id say if you wanna wait it would be for them to fix any bugs in the new 8 speed transmission or maybe for the ecodiesel

Not a chance I'd get the EcoDiesel... Hemi for me... I haven't heard any issues with the new 8 speed and the one I test drove with it and the 3.92 rear end was very nice... I haven't been able to find anything online showing any changes at all for 2015 but thought maybe someone on here would be "in the know"...

Im looking forward to 2015 as well. Depending on how I am fianacially, I may upgrade to a 15' Big Horn w/ 3.92's + 8spd + Tow Package.

I love my truck now, but there are a few minor things I wish my Express had, that can be offered in a Big Horn.

If there's no changes coming for 2015, I don't think I want to wait that long! lol

I kinda have to lol.

I had a 2012 express, however when I purchased it I just really wanted to get out of my MazdaSpeed3 ( Stupid Fast Station Wagon ) into something that would be more realistic to what my daily needs / wants are. I bought it and carried over bad debt onto my 12' Express. Just for an EXPRESS my payment was 600$ a month ( YEA DUMB LOL ). So this past july a local dealer near me was pushing out 13' Ram Express models for lease. 300$ a month on a 36 month lease. I thought to myself its literally the same vehicle, why not. So I went to the dealer, and they told me due to still having some negative equity on my 12' Express that I couldnt get the 300$ a month deal. At this point I just wanted to lower my monthly payment, and at the end of the lease have zero negative equity " starting fresh ". The local dealership Boss is a Local Volunteer Firefighter, and a part time Paramedic just for fun on the side. He basically hooks up Military, and Emergency Services Personal which is really cool.

So they made me an offer, and I took it. My monthly payment is now 450$ instead of 600$ a month which is huge for me. They were also willing for let me keep my Rims ( in sig ), and keep my Custom Muffler Delete. The 13' Express had a few minor touches I liked over the 12' Express so I took it. Some may say I made a bad choice, but I am willing to deal with it, as I more then likely would have traded in my 12' Express for something a little nicer in 2015 / 2016 anyway. I advised them that I like to mod my vehicles, and was simply advised me " dont mess with the emissions, and make sure any mod is bolt on, and keep the original parts ".

My dealer advised me that even though I have a 36 month lease, the dealer wants to get the truck back after 24 months. They advised me that they can put me in a new lease, or they will give me 0% financing if I buy a new truck when I return my 13'. So that is why I am going to be holding out until 2015 lol.

Sorry for the thread jack.

The 2014's are $10,000 off the sticker price right now... so there would have to be a good reason to hold off for the 2015 for me... like say, putting the 6.4L in the Sport model... *drool*

if the 3rd gen run is any indication i would guess that 2015 will be the last year of the 4th gen and 2016 will be all new

OH LAWD THAT SOUNDS FANTASTIC !

as nice as that sounds, I don't see it happening. it looks like the 1500 trucks from the big 3 (GM, FORD and RAM) are concentrating on offering fuel efficient trucks.

I don't think the 6.4L on a 1500 is gonna be that fuel efficient.

But on an R/T though....

I see where you are coming from, and use to be right there with you. Not sure if the 6.4 will be offered in the 1500 too soon. But, Chevy putting the 6.2 in the 1500 and it's getting better MPG than the EcoBoost F150... They set the bar pretty high in my opinion.

If they put the 6.4 in the 1500, that will be a bad SOB

If there was any kind of SRT model coming in 2015, I'm pretty sure we'd be hearing about it by now...

True that, the 6.2L is in GM 1500 trucks...

But MPG isn't better than the Ecoboost
The 6.2L in the 2wd GM trucks is rated at 21MPG highway.
The Ecoboost 2wd is claiming 23MPG highway. 2mpg difference.

Then again my RAM claimed 14 city and 19 highway but I only get 12 city and 17 highway!

GM, and Ford are both offering their " HD Gas " motor options in a 1/2 ton chassis. lets keep the faith and hope that it could atleast be offered as an option in the future.

I can say this about my 6.4..... I love it and talking about power. Wow... I'm getting some low numbers in the mpg area. But with less than 200 miles on it, it is no where near being broke in yet. But there is nothing that stands a chance against it. So far I have had a gmc Sierra 2500 with a 6.0 in it. Several 5.7 rams and tacomas. Lol. I want to find me a windshield decal that says Hemi 6.4. Lol. I even have a Ford 2500 with the 6.2 in it and a f150 with the 5.0 in it. Lol.

Also hearing rumors of no Sport for 2015. Not putting much into that now as they sell a lot of Sports.
