I have a 2014 ram sport 5.7 w/ 3:21 gears
I have 57,000kms on it and wanna swap out the fluid..

Is red line the best? Do I use 75/140 in rear and 80/90 in front?
I'm note sure if I have limited slip or not..

Thanks

Those are the exact oils you want, cut and paste when ordering from Nick. Doesnt matter what diff you have, that will work. Later if you feel any shudder you add one ounce of additive at a time till shudder disappears, but it has never been needed here by any RF member. Don't buy the same stuff with NS. Substitute 75w85 for front if you feel like it, hardly matters. Once you decide on quarts or gallons, they have a pump on amazon slippery pete under ten bucks, order correct pump for correct size gallon or qrt. ester based fluid for gears, yes best choice for many reasons, heat dissipation and long interval the top reasons. Double check the 140 w goes in rear, you dont want to mix them.

I think Nick might be able to get SG as well, but I still like redline it has a couple degrees lower pour point and yet a point high viscosity, just a hair better but I'm sure either will never let you down.

I've always used redline or Royal purple without issues.

Then again, you don't know what is going on unless you have your oil analyzed. I would go whatever synthetic u find convenient or affordable.

As for limited slip, I am pretty sure Royal purple or redline do not require additive.

Check your Vin to see if u have a limited slip. http://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=1C6RR6GT7GS227529

Just change the VIN.

Out of curiosity, what is the NS designation?

No friction modifiers good for vintage cars and old gear boxes stuff. If you look at the redline gear oil page the regular gear oils w/o NS carry all the specs, they aren't updated because the gear fluid literally hasn't changed for a decade or better. The gear fluids with NS or only for a very few vintage applications, not our rams.

royal purple will be fine.. ive ran it in my truck since ive owned it... 252k km on the truck now ... 3.92 rear end limited slip ... no issues... i did add the 4oz of additive from the dealer even though the royal purple says it has it in it.

You can read this gear study-pdf, keep in mind it is sponsored my Amsoil, but really think before using the bottom choices in this gear fluid. There are many 4x4 sites where you can't even say the words royal purple gear fluid. Google it, no offense to guys who use it and like it, but it is a very poor product. That coming from a guy who exclusively uses thier filters, and used to use thier oil when it was a high moly oil.

m1 came in second in that test.

WE can help out any one in the US looking for Red Line. We know the quantities and what you should use. Also after selling tons of gear oils, feedback from customers determines that friction modifier is NOT necessary to use with Red Line. So not only can we save you on Red Line, you can save a few bucks by not needing the friction modifier. Unfortunately we can not ship Red Line to Canada tho, sorry my northern friends.

Thanks Burla for posting that testing information: Even though it could easily have a tiny bit of bias added in. It's still a legit test for gear oil.

It's much better seeing/having actual information compared to He said / She said - Butt Dyno - Use it cause I use it information!

My opinion: If you Work your Truck ----> Med duty / Heavy duty towing or just have a major OCD of running whatever has actually been proven and shown to have stellar results.
A owner can't go wrong with running Amsoil SVG or RL.

These 2 gear oils have a very long track record!

SyN Disclaimer: I have no problem with other Gear Oils! I just have a Major OCD!
But use what you want and feel comfortable running!
Your the one paying the payments & repairs!

My last thought! Service of the Differentials is probably more important to the life of the unit compared to Brand of Gear oil used! So don't be a Lazy A$$ and establish a good Service interval with your driving style & habits in mind!
Adding a aftermarket Differential Cover with a (Fill Plug & Drain Plug) makes this so much easier and actually enjoyable! The rascal might even help keep the gear oil a bit cooler ya never really know.

Good Day Gentlemen :boobs:

I cannot find redline in Canada??
I can get Mobil 1 or purple royal

Any decent Speed Shop will have it.I buy Redline at Mopac in Calgary,so Mopac in BC will also have it.I'm pretty sure they'll ship to most places in Canada, and for sure they'll ship in BC

http://www.mopacautosupply.com/Contact-Us-s/103.htm

I'm pretty sure JB's also carries Redline, and they'll ship anywhere in Canada to,get on the phone on Monday and try both of these outfits.
