Have no Idea when the plugs were changed last but I have put 50,000 kms on (31,000 miles) since getting the truck and haven't changed them. Still runs amazing but I'm sure it's well past time to change them out. Planning on the copper champion plugs nothing different. But wondering if there's anything I need to know as far as special tools/ wrenches or steps to follow etc? Reaching the back ones on the driver side looks a bit difficult.

Yep my tech uses a short wobble with an extension to get the back plugs out. Farmer, don't make the mistake I made in my 03 5.7. Stay with OEM spec plugs.

Make sure you don’t drop the new plugs into the hole or the gap could be closed! Use a spark plug socket or a piece of fuel hose that will allow you to screw the plug in. Plan on loosing some knuckle skin lol.

3/8" drive ratchet, plug socket with rubber insert, varying length extensions and PATIENCE lol, especially on the rear two driver's side cylinders. The passenger side is easy, especially once you pull the air intake out of the way.

Generally for every .001" over .044 is equal to 2000 miles of use. This tool is all you need after coils are removed.

ok thanks guys, Truck has a k&n intake so lots of room on passenger side no air box in the way. Seems easy enough of a job to do.

A thick towel folded and layed over the radiator support, then I stand on a low box and just lay over onto the engine where I can reach everything. And if you ever replace the brake booster with a hydroboost unit you'll have even more room.
