Sorry if this is a repeat, I searched and couldn't find anything. How do you check the fluid level on the new torqueflite transmissions? I don't see a dipstick anywhere. Truck is a 2013 4x4 slt with the 3.6 if that helps.

That's just it, you don't. It's suppose to be life time fluid and unless you have a leak you shouldn't lose fluid.

It's made by ZF. none of their transmissions have dip sticks and are sealed from the factory never change fluid which is *********. Change it every 50k or regular intervals

The check/fill plug is on the right side of the transmission, near the rear, just above the oil pan. The oil temp HAS to be between 40-50C.

There is no real reason to have to check the oil. And a ZF will flag faults related to low oil level way before you would notice a problem.

Cool, thanks, any info about these transmissions online? I actually did have a leak that the dealership fixed under warranty. So I figured I should check the level "just to be sure".

What a crock of crow. I hate this "sealed for life, until it breaks" crap. Right up there with non-greasable tie rod ends and ball joints.
