there is nothing wrong with "blending" a car panel if it is done right. its not rocket science. my passenger side box side is blended. and it was done correctly. like others have said. go to the dealer first to mitigate any backtracking issues.
Park your truck under a fluorescent street light at night and take a picture with the flash active and not active and tell me you don't see that the panel flop don't match when you view the pictures. Blending on a vehicle that isn't brand new is one thing, it keeps owners and insurance agencies happy. On a brand new truck, with defects in the paint, where a body shop is even recommending a full respray it's another.
I know in my state, I can take the truck to anyone since it's my choice, so long as I accept some responsibility for inspecting prior to taking it back into my possession.
Consider looking around and getting an estimate also from whoever does all the high-end paint in your town. Shop(s) that work on Mercedes, Lexus, BMX, Audi, etc are your friend here.
OP, best of luck on this.
Ok well the dealership called they want me to bring my truck in monday im so scared lol. My plan is to totally detail my truck this weekend and take massive amount of pictures. And also going through my paint with a fine tooth comb to look for other defects. There going to repaint the bubble spots and for my fisheyes on my roof they are going to try and first buff them. But also they left bird dropping on top of truck while sitting in the lot and pretty sure paint it etched. Sorry to be a pain but give me all the proper steps to going into this so if the worst was to happen again im super OCD and PICKY. I will be looking at the final job inside the shop then outside the shop. Thanks for all of your guys input much appreciated.
