Hey,

I'm planning on tackling my Clazzio seat cover install along with Mopar heated seat kit that I've had sitting for far too long, tomorrow. Instructions for both look pretty vague and I haven't found a whole lot online.

I was told that both can be just installed over existing seats, but is that for cloth only? Because I have the leather outers with mesh(ish) inserts. And I'm guessing you wouldn't need to use the provided j clips if that was the case? Basically, I'm just looking for any pointers/things to avoid from those that have done this. Thanks!

I put Clazzio's on my GMC cloth seats very simple and nice and tight. Don't think leather/mesh should be a problem.

Not looking too good so far. One thing I noticed is the top of my seats aren't straight across like the others I've seen do this install. Thus leaving a lot of slack up there. Is there any way to remove the plastic clips that hold the head rest in place? So that I could put the cover beneath beneath them. The bottom section looks ok, but the backrest section is basically flapping in the wind...don't know if I received the right kit or not...

Put it over my cloth as well. Use the tool that came with the covers to pop the seat cover over plastic headrest clip clip. The leather will endure under the clips

The bottom back of the backrest I had to cut the factory flap with the plastic piece out of the way. That's the only way to get it to work. I confirmed with another member here before cutting and they had to do the same thing

It makes it real easy if you take the seats out and do it if you are doing it alone especially the back seat

Also after a few hot days the leather will tighten up and look good on the seats

Thanks for the tips, I was actually wondering about that flap...

Heard back from Clazzio, and they said the kit is only designed to be placed over the cloth, but that I still may be able to make it work. So now just debating whether or not to just remove the original seat skins (driver side has a tear anyway), just don't know competent I am with replacing the hog rigs.
