So I just washed up the ram and got a the dust and dirt off but my tires (not wheels) are still dirty.

Up until now they've been factory fresh... What should I use to clean the tires and restore them to black?

I searched but didn't find much definitive. Anything I can get at the local auto store to do the trick?

I'm thinking of trying one of the Adams products but have a couple questions.

1) will the Green Wheel Cleaner clean the tire as well as the wheel or should I use the All Purpose Cleaner?

2) how many wheels will 16oz clean?

If you want to order, Tuf-Shine tire cleaner.

I didn't want to order online, but It sounds like most (if not all) products at the local autoparts store are pretty harsh chemicals when it comes to tire cleaning...with clearcoated wheels....

Correct me if I'm wrong - I'd rather just get something local for the quickness...I was just going to put 303 on the tires after cleaning, 303 I already have.

Order the Tuf-Shine kit.
It'll come with the cleaner and the tire coating.
Works awesome and keeps you from having to re-apply all the time.

303 doesn't like to last when it gets wet.

How long does tuf-shine last? As in how many times can I clean and coat all 4 tires with the kit...Consider normal city driving in the Southeast - no snow/salt in the winter.

I have been using a Tuf shine tire brush with Adams APC on wheel wells and tires and very pleased with the results. As for tire shine, I have yet to find one that I'm totally happy with. Adams SVRT is a good place to start, it has SPF protection and repels water so it won't just wash off the first time it rains.

Have you tried our new Tire Shine yet?

Why don't you use soap, water, and a brush on the tires, then just follow up with your tire shine of choice?

Adams All Purpose cleaner, followed by Super VRT. i used this about a month ago for the first time and i was amazed at how easy it is to use. the super VRT goes on with more of a Matte shine and looks great but im not a fan of shinny tires.

What this guy said. APC and a good stuff bristle brush, man you get some NASTY crap off the wheel.

If you're feeling adventerous, Whestley's BleechWhite works pretty amazing for cleaning rubber, but be careful with clearcoated wheels, stuff is HARSH.

^^ thanks guys I think this is what I'm going to do... Adams seems to get a good review here and elsewhere so I'll give it a try.
