Quick question for any of the 2500 6.4 Owners. Have any of you installed a cold air induction on the 6.4 and had any noticeable improvement? I've had them before on my GMCs. But my last Ram was a 2018 2500 with the 6.4 and I had a K&N air filter, which seemed about on par with my previous CAI system on my GMC. A K&N will run about $100. I found a nice CAI kit from S&B for $350. I don't want to throw another $250 if the performance will be about the same. Appreciate the input.

Thanks for the input. I'm not "itching" to spend the extra money either. On my 2018 the only "mods" were an exhaust, the air filter, and a pedal commander. I still have the commander, but haven't installed it yet. Have an exhaust ordered. And I swapped out the factory Firestones for Nittos.

Agree that cold air kit is a waste of money. Also, K&N filters do not filter as well as the OEM paper filters. If you use it in any kind of dusty environment you will find fine dust AFTER the filter element that you do not find with OEM. Also, oiled filters have been known to mess up the sensors on diesels and the oil can contaminate sensors on the gas as well.

1) K & N oiled, no no no.
2) Got decent tires, outstanding.
3) Check yer Pedal Commander with the web site as there is a difference in which one you get on a 1500 2018 vs 2019 5th Gen. May be the same for the one you have on yer 2023 from your 2018, so something to verify.

I checked the site (I'll double check though). Pretty certain it's the same one, PC31. Appreciate all the input folks...so does my wallet.

OK, on 1500's Classic is PC 31, 5th Gen is PC 78. But 2500 may be same one, as I am not familiar with the differences in the 2018-2019 2500's. Good luck on all your mods and driving.

I removed a nice CAI and upgraded/modded my 5.7 to the 6.4/EcoDiesel lower airbox and intake horn with the stock MOPAR air filter for the 6.4/EcoDiesel.

Much better flow, and cooler air from the already existing system.

I can sell you some plaid paint ;)
