I noticed a knocking noise developed recently that is consistent with the engine rpms, I first thought it was a rod knock, but the noise only happens when the engine is warm, which makes me believe that it could be a collapsed lifter, any ideas? It's a 1999 ram 1500 with the 5.2L

Could be a collapsed lifter, but I wouldn't classify a collapsed lifter sound as a knock. More of a tap. Hard to really describe with words. You could always pull the rocker covers off and check to see if any of the rockers seem loose.

I had a collapsed lifter on a 3.9 dakota. (basically a 318 minus 2 cylinders) i pulled the valve covers and everything still seemed tight.
I added a bottle of the lucas oil stabilizer, and it slowly dissipated. Its the only "snake oil" to this day i have ever had work, or do anything. That little truck is still on the road. And it sounded like it was coming apart.
something worth trying...

Not sure if your truck has a purge regulator/valve, but I thought for sure I had busted something as it was consistent with rpm’s, I opened the hood and traced the knocking to the purge valve. I was nervous that my engine was going, it was that loud. Bought new one and it’s even louder, so took that one back and bought mopar part, =silence.
