I've been doing a bit of digging to find information on different compressor kits. I have airbags, but I'm price shopping the compressor kits. The problem I'm running into is that the vast majority of the info is about Air Lift brand stuff (expensive). I can't even find adequate info on the Firestone kits and the Viair is non-existent on relevant information. Are there other brands out there too? Does anyone have any information about a standard duty kit that I may use once a month? I don't want to spend 300+ right now.

If your using the airbags only once a month or less, get yourself a portable battery powered tire inflater. I use this one with my TLC airbags, they are larger than most airbags on the market and it has no problems inflating them to whatever pressure I need. I have both airbags piped together. Fineed Portable Air Compressor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019FIERRO/
You can get the first gen AirLift WirelessOne compressor kit for about $300 on Amazon (at the time of posting) Air Lift 25870 WirelessOne https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005JUX1S4/
My buddy uses this on his 2500 with rear airbags and hauls a large fiver.

So that first one would have no issues inflating Air Lift 1000 HD's?

I bought my GenI Air Lift WirelessOne off of ebay for $270ish something.

Just looked, surprised the prices have gone up on them. Even the GenI's gone up in price.

Yeah, that's why I'd rather find a less expensive solution. I got the 1000HD bags already.

I use this one from Harbor Freight:
https://www.harborfreight.com/12volt-150-psi-compact-air-compressor-63184.html

It was like $50 with the 20% off coupon and it works good for pumping up my Firestone Ride Rite bags. I hook it to the battery on my 5th wheel and pump the bags up that way. I like you didn't want to spend the money for the on board kit for the few times a year I use it. Plus side, this little thing will pump up my truck tires/trailer tires if needed.

I just picked up a 12v compressor for my 1000hd bags, it has no issues filling the bags to capacity and only takes a minute. You also have the added benefit of having a small air compressor for other tasks as well. And for $50 or so it’s a cheap investment
