I was changing my oil and noticed moisture on the cap of the oil fill cap.

It’s not uncommon, depending on your driving patterns. Was the engine fully up to temperature prior?

There’s always moisture from combustion, in a cold engine it will condense. In a hot engine it’ll boil off and the PCV system will evacuate it.

It is also possible you have something else going on like a leaking head gasket, but if there are no other symptoms besides what you’ve described I would just monitor the situation.

Since you are in florida, if the oil is still clear and not milky at all, I would start with replacing the PCV valve and check to make sure the PCV valve hose (if there is one on a 4.7, it's been years since I worked on a 4.7) is clear and not cracked. See if that fixes the problem.

Hi The 4.7 is notorious for sludge build up inside engine due to not frequent enough oil changes, not saying this is your problem, replace your PVC and check to hose going to it for a break or collapsed in the hose.
