Confusion with part above leaf spring, need help.

I need help identifying the part sitting above my leaf spring. I believe the previous owner may have installed an air suspension of some kind but clearly it's f'ed and I need help finding specifics to potentially fix/remove. Thanks!

That's exactly what that is/was but no one is gonna be able to magically know what you have without some kind of identifying info. Did you find any numbers or a name?

I think I would cut the cylindrical part off and forget about it all.
