Connect update??

Hey guys,
I've got a 2017 Ram 1500 8.4" screen and have an update available. I'm currently using 18.01.35 and am wondering what I would gain by doing the update and going to 18.50. I don't want to update and F things up. Does anyone know what I would gain?

Generally speaking you won't gain any features on these firmware updates. Their intended purpose is to fix bugs.

Over the-air update or via USB? It’s the OTA updates that are scariest.

Rule of thumb with these radios is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". However, OTA updates can only be avoided for so long before they will eventually be forced onto the radio. There was one case where someone had installed a dummy plug on the cell antenna on the radio and they still received the update.
