Hi guys/gal's I am currently running the numbers on a 2014 1500 Laramie 4x4 Ecodiesel. I plan on keeping it for approx. 6 years/ 130k miles. 80% driving to work, 20% towing boats, snowmobiles ATV's etc. The boat is the heaviest and most difficult to tow, about 5-6000lbs but has a hell of a drag at hi-way speeds.

I am a Toyota guy, currently own a 08 Tundra limited with a 5.7, love the truck, but the fuel economy is killing me. I was hoping some of you current RAM owners could give me some insight in what I can expect regarding cost of ownership over a 6 yr period?

Thanks

There was a post on exactly that like 3 weeks ago. I think it was here in general too. It should give you the info you need!

If you are towing a lot, that eco diesel will definitely pay for itself, from the numbers people were running, if it is just daily driven, it likely wouldn't pay for itself over the v6 and maybe not even the hemi. There are a lot of variables to consider of course.
