Hello,
I’ve got an 03 1500 I’m trying to add courtesy lights too. It’s a light strip that goes under the cab that provides signal, parking, and courtesy lights. I’ve got parking and signals hooked up but I can’t find to find a good positive door, or dome trigger. Does anyone have any idea what I can do here?

put your own momentary switch on the body side in between the hinges, they sell them at most auto parts stores. I know dorman makes some, just make sure it has enough, but not too much throw so when you close the door it doesn't get in the way and break or collapse into the hole you drilled to install it.

My 2015 Ram 1500 has no “courtesy Lights” per se. It’s dash-panel illuminates when the door(s) are opened…but nothing else. (This may be due to it’s model…a SSV…which was for police use and perhaps didn’t want automatic interior lighting.)

Anyway…I want to add courtesy lighting for floor-boards (under dash or kick panels) and perhaps a dome light.

Anyone know the proper fuse or circuit access for this?
