Cracked Cluster options

Hey guys!

Picked up a new 2015 Express.. Love it! One of the things I don't love is this crack!

I been reading on here, that we can switch certain years out, but some need to be programmed?

I have an option to get one of these for pretty cheap from a wrecker. Will it pull my mileage from the computer? or will I need to get it programmed? My honest hopes are I can just plug it in and be good..

Or. Can you buy just the lens? If so anyone have a link?

The EVIC will have to be programmed for the mileage (kms) and hours after installation. I did mine with AlfaOBD and saved a lot of money.

IIRC, it was 2013 or 2014 when they changed the TPMS frequency so you'll need one made after that point to work with your TPMS.

There is a thread, I think in the DIY section, where someone showed how to replace the lens. I think they were actually swapping in a Rebel bezel. I don't remember if they had the lens part number or not.

Hey thanks did the reply!
I can get one for $50 Canadian that’s about $12 us lol. I was thinking if I could just pull the lens off I’d be all set. Just not sure if it’s glued or what. Any thoughts?

Bear in mind that @R.L.K. did a 7" EVIC, but it should be a close, if not identical, process on the 3.5". It appears that the lens and mask are one piece. There's another post on the next page with a useful tidbit, too.

@Kris Myers - Depending on where you are in Ontario, I can assist with programming should you decide to just change out the cluster/decide to upgrade to 7" evic, as I've got AlfaOBD.
