So like the title says, my truck cranks but won't start.
Its throwing a p0465. Never had an issue with the truck, did notice when i would turn on the truck it felt like it was going to shut off. Like it was choking. At the end it wasn't turn it on, end up changing the fuel pump and it started working. Well it started doing it again, made some online research and it said something about the vapor canister throwing off the idle or even let it turn on. So i go ahead and buy the vapor canister and see, but nothing same issue. I tried starter fluid and it would turn on at times, but as soon as u turn it off the issues start back again. Is there anything else that i can check or any ideas what it can be?

I'm not familiar with that engine, but does the 03 4.7 have a distributor cap. If so, I'd pull off the cap and check rotor all the contacts inside the cap.

No not even close. Individual coil pack ignition like the hemi. Might help to check the cam and crank sensors.

Yeah, I'm old school. Shot in the dark on the distributor. I used to do all my own engine work back when if you had fuel/spark/air/compression then it should run, but engines are getting to where a wrench is a paperweight and you need a computer to adjust anything. I do what I can now, but I'm at a point where I try to keep a warranty on everything and let someone smarter than me do it.

I would check crank and cam positioning sensors.

Right there with you, but I adapted lol. Comes in especially handy for smaller and marine engines, like my outboard and the two in my cruiser.
