Crappy Factory Carpeting

Is it just ****** carpet or a problem.
The carpet in my 18 Ram is shedding and has a bald spot where its wearing out. The floormat hooks are coming out.
She's only got 7200 miles.
Can I have it replaced under the B2B coverage?
Is anyone else having this problem???

This is a warranty claim. However; you can replace ALL of the carpet, and juke in the entire cab for under 400 dollars from mopar direct. It's the labor that'll kill ya. They should and will cover this.

Do you have or use floor mats? I don’t have this issue, but I have the Mopar rubber mats in it.

Can you be more specific with your question. It's a 2018, so it came with floor mats. Are you asking if he took them out and decided to just use the carpet under them?

Man....Even without floor mats, this is abnormally fast wear.

Do you wear spurs, dig your heals in to sit up in the seat every 5 minutes and take dancing lessons in there?

If not, then this is definitely a warranty claim.

This is extreme. I have seen vehicles used for construction without floor mats that don’t have this kind of wear over 100K miles. Jesus Christ.

I was thrilled my 17 had the HD vinyl flooring option before I saw this thread... even more so now.

Yes I had factory floor mats. I took them out to vacuum them and while vacuuming the floor... One of my dogs snuck up and chewed it up. It was destroyed before I found him with it. It just so happened to be the drivers side.
I'm gonna order some new ones after I get the carpet replaced.

The heel of my right foot wore through stock carpet mat on my 14 after 4 years. The carpet under the mat was still perfect. Replaced the mat and all is well.

If the mats from a 1500 sport will fit your truck you can have mine, I only used them for a week before I threw some mopar rubber slush mats in.

I wasn’t in the military but I appreciate your service.
