a video of your dash at startup from key-in to running would help greatly. All diesels should have a wait to start light, cheap evic or not.

this used to work, haven't tried it on the newer trucks but:
hold down the trip meter button while turning the key on then release the trip button, the dash lights should go through a test procedure. verify that you have located the wait to start light, report back if you don't see it.

Hey, there is A intake temp sensor that is part of the grid heater it is on the drivers side of the engine behind the fuel rail if you unplug this it should leave your light on until u plug it together again....I'll try to post some pictures image_zpsde2bcc0b.jpg image_zps72e06739.jpg
