Cruise control stopped working and brake pedals really hard after replacing hvc. Any ideas please

You'll need to have the vehicle scanned for trouble codes, one that's capable of reading ABS codes. Most code readers are just for the powertrain, not for codes that don't illuminate the CEL
Check your vacuum lines. Will the cruise control switch on and not work or nothing at all?

No Cruise control either and thank you on vaccum!
