Hi, new to the forum an I would appreciate some help figuring this out. I bought this truck a few years ago and ever since then the cruise control will only work between 65-75 km/h and between 105-115 km/h. Anything over or under those ranges and it kicks out.

I should mention that there is also a constant ABS/parking brake light on, though I'm not sure that would have anything to do with it.

Thanks in advance!

I seem to recall when you throw an ABS code, your CC is disabled because it is tied into the brake system. Although usually the Traction Control light is on as well so this might not apply. Another thing I've seen is the 15's/16's (maybe more) had an issue with the button cluster (specifically the CC buttons) on the steering wheel. People could give the buttons a good whack and the CC would start working again. But again, this was if it didn't work at all so this may not apply either. I probably didn't give you any help, but I'll sleep well tonight knowing I tried...... :) Good luck and keep us informed.

Yeah, ABS sensor issue will mess up the cruise. Have you checked for any codes yet? Good chance it's the sensor in the rear differential (or the wiring leading to it).

I did change the one on the rear diff and ran a new plug to it. I guess I will check the front ABS sensors. From the other electrical systems on this truck it seems like the wiring wears out pretty fast. It did have a pretty rough life before it got to me though...

Oh and I did do check the codes and nothing unusual comes up. Is this where I need the special code reader?
