Hello to the big boy side from the 1500 side of this forum. I previously purchased a 05 Laramie 5.9 the day Katrina hit. Fuel supplies were getting scarce and I feared not making my long drive back from the fly n buy. It was a great run of 12 years with that truck. Life got busy and the truck was in need of more and more maintenance so my simple plan was to get a new 1500 and not be concerned with vehicle distractions so I could focus more on work. What a fail. 2017 limited and 2019 Limited became more problematic than my old 3rd gen. I'm sickend that I let the 3500 go.
so
Getting out of the fifth gen 1500 and about to buy another Cummins. My knowledge of these fuel systems comes to the same fundamental conclusion. Lubrication. I made my own biodiesel for years and it is imo the thing that kept my engine and especially the fuel system happy. Well that and Rotella. My question is if this is needed on the 2020 systems and is bio available and are Cummins operators using it?
I'm also interested if anyone else has had a simular fail going to the light fuel side?
