Custom Mini Console

I'm starting plans for a new mini console to replace the factory cupholder setup. It won't replace the center jump seat, nor will it extend all the way to it. It will stick out several inches and hold new cupholders, an iphone/ipod holder and a switch panel to replace my current accessory switches.

I'll post progress pics as I go.

It will stick out from the dash/cupholder. I will probably use a combination of mdf and some fiberglass if necessary. I'm not a personal fan of painted dashes, so I plan to upholster it to match my seats. Construction wise, it will be similar to he way I built my overhead screen mount.

I have the frame of it built and shaped to the dash. I need to order some cupholders and I have a few custom pieces still to fab for it. I'd say I am 60% done. I'm building it in my "spare" time so it will be a while.
