No dash rattles here but my overhead console with map lights rattles, wasn't to bad till I put CAI in now it really rattles at certain rpm's. Gonna take it apart sometime, i have heard of people putting foam in but never done it, I just turn the music up.

Yup I have it in my 2012 - If you press the area behind the center "Alpine" emblem it will stop and it is only when the dash is a certain temp. Drives me nuts. If I don't see a quick fix for it here soon I will take it to the dealer.

Yeah, I've already been to the dealer twice. They fix it and it another one pops up, so at this point, i'm pretty pissed.

i notice it on the highway at certain rpms. it is very annoying. but i don't think its in the dash. what i've found is that if i apply a little pressure up on the steering wheel it stops, super quiet. but i don't know how to permanently fix it. i made sure that the steering adjustment is tight, but I still get it.

Well, I'm officially pissed off... I pulled out of my driveway this morning to take my kid to school when my dash started rattling (again) like a damn maraca. I dropped it off at the dealer today and of course it stopped, so I left it there so they can test drive it tomorrow. I can't believe i'm already dealing with this crap with a new truck.

I hope someone comes up with a DIY fix for this, because it is annoying. it makes it seem like our trucks are not solid

I found my dash rattle today. It only happens every now and then when I'm sitting idle. I thought at first it was the cover for where the 3rd dash speaker goes but when I put my hand in it it didn't stop and right after I did that, something told me to stick my finger in the center dash vent that blows air on the windshield and bingo! There's a piece in there that goes around the whole vent that vibrates. Now if only the dealer didn't close in an hour....Guess once I get back from a trip at the end of the month, I'll take it into the dealer.

I'll have to check that out, thanks. Does yours happen in cold and warm weather? Mine seemed to only happen in the mornings when it's a little colder, though lately it's happened a little more often at any temp.

mine was the bolt that holds my S and B on the bottom of the fender lip. It had vibrated loose and the washer was rattling. Found it and fixed it today.

i have the dash rattle on mine as well. I had the recall on my a/c so i had to take it to the dealer. after they fixed the problem it started making this noise. my entire dash piece surrounding the double din is the culprit.

Many crafts (Think Hobby Lobby) stores have a sticky backed foam, it's about 1/8" thick.

Works wonders if you are willing to take things apart, and run little strips (comes in a 8.5 * 11 sheet normally) along the joints. I'm ready to take out my entire dash and quiet it up.
(and paint all that ugly light brown crap to a nice dark grey / black)

FIVE trips to the dealer over a period of 12 months, and the series of dash and console rattles have now been reduced to one intermittent rattle near the vent, left of the nav. The latest attempt at fixing this rattle by the dealer was to lubricate between the vent trim and dash. I am bummed that I will have to fix this one myself.

One rattle that I thought was in the dash was actually the lower window molding on the outside. Right at 40 mph, it started chirping.

I'm bumping an old thread as a "thanks" to all. My truck recently turned 10k miles, and the weather got cooler. That's when I started to get a very annoying rattle -- which sounded like it was coming from passenger's dash. I've removed the corner dash speakers, replaced door speakers, etc., so I really didn't want to take it into the dealer. I added closed-cell foam (CCF) around all wiring harness plugs. Pulled upper glove box to add more CCF and sound deadening tiles. I played with it for a week+, and never could eliminate the rattle. The rattle came as the RPMs rose. It sounded like a loud baby rattle. I searched on here, and found some threads. I made a list of things to check, and got to work.

My wife was along one day, and thought it was coming from the engine compartment. I said, "no - it's caused from engine RPMs, but the rattle is somewhere in the dash". I have an S&B. I pulled the lid, and added some sound deadening tiles inside the airbox -- to eliminate vibrations into the cabin. This seemed to help some. Next, I started banging on the whole S&B assembly. BINGO! The bottom bolt which holds the bracket to the frame was loose, and the washer was rattling -- just like HLram experienced above. This bolt is inserted upside down, and doesn't appear to be self-locking. It sucks I had to remove fender liner and flare to fix this issue. I pulled the bolt, added rubber washers on both sides of the metal washer, added blue lock-tite, and buttoned it back up. NO rattles today. Thanks RamForum! As a huge negative, I had to admit the wife was right.
