Looks like the blue one has got it the worst
We’re can I find the BCM under the dash I’m assuming? I talked to the guy again today and the modules in the truck came with the dash so maybe it’s vin locked between modules?
Yes under the dash above the parking brake pedal.

I'm wondering if this truck was in a flood?

Okay I purchased one off maks tipm rebuilders with a warranty should’ve here Friday, will keep you posted
make sure you clean the connectors before you install the new tipm you may have to de pin each connector. If its bad enough you may even need a harness find some good electrical connector cleaner

Sure thing, I’ve got contact cleaner and a tool to remove the pins so I’m going to clean the corroded ones very well before installation

It’s possible, my thoughts were after the fire when they put it out all those chemicals sat and corroded everything
It sounds like it’s time to start pulling connections apart , searching for more corrosion.
You might find some chemical type cleaner to help make the cleaning process easier.
Deoxit may be a good option to explore .

Hello, I just Purchases a 2012 2500 big horn Cummins. It had an interior fire and burnt everything, the guy I bought it from rebuilt the interior but he put a slt dash in I beilive, the wipers will not go off the cluster has lights on but nothing works and there is about 20* codes having to do with missing modules and such, half the features don’t work like the engine break and 4x4, my question is what should my next steps be, is there a way to integrate the modules into the dash so I can get the codes to go away and functioning properly or do I have to find a different dash
From the instr. pod it looks cracked up. Possible issues with this too. I’m an electronic engineer by training so I can agree with many others on the wiring, connectors and modules. Modules have a slim chance of being OK if the cases are metal and if plastic they aren’t deformed. Most electronic devices can withstand temps. fairly well. I definitely suspect the wires are toast. Sorry for the pun. I’m not sure about module VIN/Id dependencies for that year. European cars have this security feature but again I’m not sure on DCM modules or the year. BCMs are pretty low risk, but ones like SRS pretty definite it’s VIN coded. I would hunt around for a wire harness, instr. cluster and modules. That’s the thing with inheriting this level of damage - as good as the intentions were you really don’t know what was done and if it’s done properly or sufficiently. I feel your pain.

I’m definitely going to try replacing the modules first as the harness fir the dad was replaced with the new dash.+ I checked for corrosion on the interior and didn’t fine any so I’m hoping I can get away with a new tipm cleaning up the plugs and possibly reppining the bad ones and I’m going to go from there

Well good news, tipm solved most of my issues, still have a few to go through should be pretty easy to diagnose and fix, I’m having a 4x4 service issue I can hear the motor try to engage but won’t I’m getting code c140E transfer case motor blocked any ideas?
