Daytime running lights question.

I just preordered the morimoto XB headlights for my 2017 ram sport with projector headlights.
In order for them to work properly I need daytime running lights on my truck. I do not have daytime running lights from the factory.

Is that something that the dealer can add by flashing the computer? If so does it add the option in the settings menu to turn them on and off as desired or are they just always on?

The dealer can turn them on, if your dealer is nice enough to do so. Mine sucked so I went the OBDGenie route. Price ranges are all over the place from dealers. Anywhere from 1/2 to hour shop labor rate. If I had waited another month or so I could have also enabled them via AlfaOBD.

As far as adding the option to the 8.4 to enable/disable from dealer I'm not sure. With AlfaOBD or OBDGenie you can.

You need the AlfaOBD, which is capable of adding the on/off setting in the radios settings.
