Well finally forced myself outside to get this project done. I was a little hesitant at first with it... but turned out great! Very Happy, I used the fishing line trick. Used the fishing line to cut behind the spears, and then went back through and rubbed the tape off with my thumb (got a blister to prove it). Then came back through with Goo Gone to take off any remaining residue. Then hit it with some Meguiars ultimate compound to get rid of any "ghosting" and oxidation build up. And the final step was some quick detail spray to add some shine and protect the naked paint till i have time to give her a proper clean. Total time was about 3 hours. Gives the truck a even more cleaner look!

Looks good! I still haven't decided if I want to take mine off or not. As soon as I do, someone is gonna open their door on my truck and is going to leave a huge dent in it

I am glad mine did not come with all the junk. Only badges mine has are the 1500 and ram heads. Thinking upon sticking a cowl induction badge on the hood though, not real sure on that though.

Yeah understandable, I am usually pretty careful about where I park. Back of the lot for me!

I debadged all mine except the spears. I have a Sport model so being that they are body color they don't stand out to me. Plus like was said, my luck I'd take them off then have someone open their door and put a nice dent where that spear would have protected it some...So I'll keep mine on but I dig the cleanliness of the side of your Ram now....

Thanks man! There was a little bit of oxidation on mine from not being washed. But came right out with Meguiars Ultimate compound. Mine is 10 years old.
